A national selection is worth only the trust placed in it. This page says who decides, under what rules, and what we commit to making public.

To choose the woman who will represent France at Miss Universe, and to give her what she needs to belong there.
To open that possibility to every French region and territory, with no circuit to complete and no connections needed.
To run a competition whose workings can be explained publicly, at every stage.
Oversight
The 2026 French selection operates within the framework set by the international Miss Universe organisation, and will be run by a committee established for this edition. The details of that framework will be published here as soon as they are settled.
The committee’s membership will be published on this page. Until it is, this section stays deliberately empty rather than announcing unconfirmed names.

What we commit to publishing
International competitions are now closely scrutinised on how their decisions are made. A new French selection cannot ask for the public’s trust without saying in advance how it decides.
- Who decides Selected candidates and France’s representative are chosen by the Miss Universe France leadership committee, within the framework set by the international organisation.
- The assessment criteria Published on this site before any decision. Nobody competes without knowing what she is being assessed on.
- Conflicts of interest Anyone taking part in the assessment declares any connection to a candidate and steps out of decisions concerning her.
- The role of public voting If there is one, its exact weight in the result, announced in advance.
- Complaints A single address for reporting an irregularity, and a stated response time. Selection decisions remain final.
These commitments are published before the selection, not after, so they can be recalled to us during it.
What the title asks for
Represent, not appear
The titleholder carries France for a year, into rooms where she will be asked her opinion. The competition selects someone who has one.
Come from where you come from
Mainland, Corsica, overseas. No region is a special case.
A cause you genuinely hold
Every candidate carries a commitment of her own, not a theme handed out by the organisation.
